Setting up Spam Filters in WebMail
Currently ISOMEDIA is using Custom Filter rules to handle the Filtering of Spam from your Inbox. Below are instructions on how to setup a Spam filter rule.
1) The first step is to make a Spam folder if you don't already have one. You can do this by clicking on the 'Folders' button at the top of the page. Name the folder "Spam".
2) After you make sure you have a Spam Folder, click on the Options button at the top of the page. Then click on 'Filters and Exceptions'.
3) We are going to setup a Spam rule which will route mail classified as Spam to your Spam folder.
•In the first drop-down, select 'X-MailScanner-SpamCheck'. •In the 'header contains' field, type in 5 asterisks (.ie. *****). This will set your filtering threshold at 5; this is the default for catching most spam. The higher the setting (7-9) the more likely spam will be sent your inbox, the lower the setting (2-3) the more likely legitimate mail will be filtered. •Next, click the radio button next to 'Move' and enter the name of your Spam folder (in this case 'Spam') in the IMAP folder field.
•And lastly, click the "Add" button. |
