Important Migration Information
If you read your email and leave it stored on the ISOMEDIA mail server you may experience unexpected behavior following the migration when retrieving your email. If you have configured your email program to leave a copy of messages on the server, you may receive another copy of messages that you have already read. This will only happen during the migration from the old Pioneernet.net email server to the new one, once migrated you should not see this behavior.
The Pioneernet.net email system requires authentication for the sending and receiving of email. Because of this you will be required to set your email settings to include authentication using your email address and domain. For example, if your email is bobsmith@pioneernet.net you would need to set your email client up to use pop and SMTP authentication using bobsmith@pioneernet.net. If, you discover that it will no longer accept your username / password, try changing your username to your full email address. Please review our SMTP authentication help documentation for more information on how to do this.
When using the webmail interface for the new Pioneernet.net email system please note that it sets your "From" address to your username @pioneernet.net. If you would rather that your replies were sent to a different domain, you can setup a customized 'reply to' address (at oakharbor.net, pugetsound.net, naswhidbey.com, or coupeville.net). |
