Software to assist in the creation of your website. If you are new to the web, or just want some guidance, this software will quickly get you set up with a professional online presence.

Domain Transfer

ISOMEDIA will assist in the transfer of pre-existing domains that you have registered with other companies to help you get your web site up and running with a minimum of hassle.

FTP Access

ISOMEDIA shared hosting includes FTP access for you to upload or download files for your website.

FrontPage Support

FrontPage is a program developed by Microsoft that allows you to more easily design and maintain your web site. ISOMEDIA shared web hosting servers include support for the FrontPage system, but you must purchase FrontPage separately in order to use it's full capabilities.

Web Based Control Panel

Allows you to control your web site, e-mail accounts, e-mail aliases, etc. ISOMEDIA utilizes the premier web site control panel in the market created by Ensim.

Raw Access Logs

These are text logs which show every hit to your web site. They reflect what the users accessed or downloaded. Analysis of the logs can be done on your local machine with various programs available on the web.

Scripts

Macromedia's Shockwave / Flash Support

ISOMEDIA shared hosting web servers are configured to support the MIME media types for ShockWave and Flash.

Daily Website Backups

ISOMEDIA performs backups of all your site files and email. If there is a data loss due to a mistake, data corruption, or site failure, a restore of the backup information can be requested of the ISOMEDIA Support team.

Spam/Virus protection

PHP Support

PHP is a language for developing interactive web applications. ISOMEDIA shared web hosting servers include support for the PHP language.

Python / Perl

ISOMEDIA shared web hosting servers include the popular Open-Source programming languages for developing interactive web sites.

Gnu Privacy Guard

Gnu Privacy Guard is installed on the server to facilitate encrypting sensitive information before e-mailing from the server.

GD Libraries

Graphical libraries installed on the server that are used by many common web application systems.

Graphical Referrer Logs

This is an extended logging feature that documents where each visitor to your site came from. You will know if they found you through a search engine or a web site link. It will show you the search engines users queried and what keywords or sentences they typed in to find your web site. This is very valuable information when trying to determine if marketing campaigns are effective.

SMTP/IMAP/POP3 E-mail Server

Full support for standard e-mail protocols such as SMTP, IMAP, and POP3. These services can be managed through the web control panel.

Web-based Email

You or your users can access their mail through a web-based interface while travelling, or instead of using a standard mail client.

Unlimited E-mail Aliases

No set limit to the number of aliases and forwards for mail addresses at your domain. These aliases can be managed through the web control panel.

Unlimited E-mail Auto responders

No set limit to the number of auto-responders for addresses at your domain. These messages can be managed through the web control panel.

E-mail Vacation Responder

Automatic messages can be set up for any of your e-mail addresses when you are on vacation, or won't be answering e-mail for an extended period of time. These messages can be managed through the web control panel.

User Manager

This component of the web control panel allows you to manage the user accounts and passwords for your domain.

Webalizer Web Stats

Automated software that creates reports based upon your web page access logs. These reports are then viewable as a web page on your site.

Password Protected Directories

Using the web control panel and special control files (called htaccess files), you can set usernames and passwords on specific directories to protect their contents from unauthorized viewers. You can find more information on htaccess files here.

MySQL Database

MySQL is an Open Source, standards compliant database system that is well suited to storing information for dynamic web sites, and web applications. It can be controlled programmatically, or through the web control panel.

Secure Server (SSL) transaction encryption

For encrypting data sent from the user to the server, or from the server back to the user. Requires an SSL certificate to be purchased from an on-line security broker such as Verisign or Komodo.

Server Side Includes

Server Side Includes are directives that are placed in HTML pages, and evaluated on the server while the pages are being served. They let you add dynamically generated content to an existing HTML page, without having to serve the entire page via a CGI program, or other dynamic technology.

Redundant DNS Servers

ISOMEDIA operates multiple redundant DNS servers so that your domain information is always available to the Internet.

Network Connectivity

Your web site will be hosted within our primary state-of-the-art data center in Redmond, Washington. This site has fully redundant power, air-conditioning and fiber connectivity. The Redmond datacenter has multiple DS3, and OC3 connections to the Internet for fast and extremely reliable connectivity.

Uninterruptible power (UPS) & Backup Generator

Every server, router, and switch is connected to a UPS device and our data center power is backed by a 145KW Diesel-powered generator ensuring that even during the longest power outages your web server remains online.

Hard Drive Space

The amount of disk storage your account is allocated on the server. The space is used to store your site files. This includes html, graphic, audio, video, and all other files that relate to your web site.

Domains

ISOMEDIA provides domain name registration services through Names4Ever. This gives us the ability to register your new domain name instantly upon receipt of your order.

International Domain Names Hosted

If you already own an international domain name and wish to use it with our hosting service, you can transfer the domain for FREE. We can host ANY domain name extension from ANY country in the world.

Forced Advertising

We do not place forced advertisement in the form of banners, links, popups with your web hosting account. In addition, we do not place forced advertisement in email messages sent through our webmail system.

Sites that do not meet the basic guidelines will be quoted an hourly rate of $50/hour

Basic Site Guidelines:

• Transferred web site ("Site") must be downloadable using FTP or FrontPage 2000.
• Site does not use database connections.
• Site does not rely upon special permissions or password locking on directories.
• Dynamic pages on the site must be compatible with the new web server.

Expert-Tech Domain Transfer

ISOMEDIA's expert technicians will take control of transferring your domain name and DNS settings to ISOMEDIA's redundant DNS servers. Our technicians will work with your previous Registrar and ISP to make sure the transfer causes as little disruption to your sites and email as possible.

Data Transfer (Month)

"Monthly Data Transfer" is the method ISOMEDIA shared hosting accounts use to calculate how much data is being sent out over our network to users of your web site. ISOMEDIA shared hosting plans include a generous amount of transfer in their base price, and additional transfer can be purchased for $10 per additional 10GB of transfer.

Platform

ISOMEDIA Shared Hosting plans support either the Linux platform, or the Windows 2003 platform.

Web Site Construction Tools

ISOMEDIA Shared Hosting plans support many web site construction tools that can be purchased at your local software retailer, such as Microsoft FrontPage, or Macromedia Dreamweaver. We also include Site Builder, an on-line web site creation tool that is integrated into your shared hosting control panel.

Technical Support

ISOMEDIA has support technicians available on-line, through e-mail, or by telephone. ISOMEDIA's standard support hours are from 8am to 8pm Monday thru Friday, and from 10am to 6pm on weekends. Support times are noted in the Pacific Standard Time Zone.

Site Monitoring and Alert System

ISOMEDIA's custom site monitoring and alert system can send e-mail or pages to your designated technical contacts whenever there are problems with your web site. You can customize who, and where these alerts are sent to in your shared hosting control panel.

ASP Support

Active Server Pages (ASP) is a web scripting language available on the Windows 2003 platform. It is useful for developing interactive web applications.

Windows 2003

Microsoft Windows 2003 is the newest server operating system created by Microsoft. It is used on our shared hosting plans that require features available from the Windows 2003 platform, and plans that require the Microsoft .NET platform.

Linux

Linux is the world's most popular server software, and is the default platform for ISOMEDIA Shared Hosting servers. It is a free Unix-type operating system originally created by Linus Torvalds with the assistance of developers around the world. Developed under the GNU General Public License, the source code for Linux is freely available to everyone.

Apache

The Apache HTTP Server is a secure, efficient and extensible web server that provides HTTP services in sync with the current HTTP standards. Apache has been the most popular web server on the Internet since April of 1996. The October 2003 Netcraft Web Server Survey found that more than 64% of the web sites on the Internet are using Apache, thus making it more widely used than all other web servers combined.

Hosted Domains

Domains that are hosted on ISOMEDIA Shared Hosting servers are eligible to utilize our group of fully redundant DNS servers to maintain both high reliability and high speed domain lookups for your web and mail addresses. Domains that are hosted on ISOMEDIA Shared Hosting Servers are not required to use ISOMEDIA's DNS servers, but must be listed in the web site's configuration in order to work properly.
