NOTE: THIS PAGE IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION AND IS NOT DONE!
As Promised. Here Are My Pictures To
Whistler. I Went From January 24th, 1997 - January 29th,
1997. The Weather Throughout The 6 Days We Were There Was
Spectacular! Spectacular But Cold. On Our First Two Days
Of Skiing It Was -2° F. At The Base Of The Whisler Gondola And
-9°F. At The Top Of The Gondola. The Weather Gradually
Warmed The Next 2 Days, Then Shot Up To Near 32°F. On Our Last
Day Of Skiing Which Was On Tuesday. The Skies Were Clear And
The Snow Was Soft And Cold. Gradually Turning Near Rock Solid
At The Village.

Area. But As Luck Would Have It A Small Storm Front
Blew Through Dropping 4in. Of Fresh Pow-Pow On Us Allowing Our Last
Day Of Skiing To Be Spectacular! To Start It Off Lets Go To The
Top Of Blackcomb With Couloir Extreme!!Well, Here It Is The Famed 'Saudan Ridge' Now Named 'Couloir
Extreme' For Reasons I Don't Know. Perhaps "Extreme" Made
The Tourists Flock To It Faster. Anyway, This Is One
Scary Mother Fucker, If It's The First Time Jumping In, Which It Was
For Me And My Friend Chad. The Entrance Into This Thing Is the
Most Difficult. But Once In It's Nice.(The Picture Doesn't
Depict How Steep It Actually Is!) The Whole Run From Top To
Bottom Requires 'Jump' Turns In Order To Stay On Your Feet. As
You Can See From The Picture Above It Doesn't Look To Bad At The
Top. Which It Isn't, Until You Get Down About 100 Yards Or So
When It Drops Off And Steepens While Getting Narrower And Narrower
Between the Rocky Cliffs To Either Side. After Reaching The Bottom
You Have The Option Of Going Left And Straight Into 'Jersey Cream
Bowl' Another Double Diamond Run. Or Ease Up And Take A Right
Where The Spine Begings To Appear In The Photo Above, This Is A
Diamond Run Called 'Quasar'. In All The Run Measures 2500
Vertical Feet!! Phew, No Wonder Why My Stomach Hurt 4 Days
After Skiing The Damn Thing!!
