Due to the heavy planetary industrialization, effects of war and the overuse of the planet's natural resources, Dilga's biosphere has been severely damaged - quite possibly beyond the point of repair. Without a constant flow of resources from outside sources, scientific estimates that the planet will be incapable of supporting life within a hundred years. The planet topography is unremarkable and fairly uniform, covered with vast tundra-like deserts. The only significant bodies of water are located inland as tiny landlocked oceans. In addition to the uninhabitable deserts, a significant portion of the planet was devastated by a large scale tactical nuclear device. As a result, high radiation and scorched earth cover about 1/3 of the planet's eastern hemisphere. There are only two major cities of note. The larger civilian sector, and a much smaller, more well defended military sector. The average Dilgan citizen is unlikely to visit the military sector in the course of their lifetime, due to the high security there.
