Eugene to Corvallis via Cougar and MacKenzie River Trail 250-280 miles 9/2/01 – 9/5/01

9/1 – Roehls ; 9/2 camp at Kahalnie at 75 miles; 9/3 camp at above Blue River Reservoir; 9/4 back in Eugene ; 9/5 hotel in Corvallis

 

The Course Starts in Eugene, go southeast on Jasper, Pengra and West Boundary (dirt) Roads to Oakridge, over the Offerheide (paved) and over Gold Mountain (dirt) before returning to Eugene, then up to Corvallis for a loop out to the Coast and back to Eugene

Corvallis– Eugene  via the coast 170-200 miles 9/6-9/9/01

 

Lodgings 9/5 Hotel Corvallis

9/6 Camp in woods at 60 miles

9/7 Cape Perpetua – clean up and refill water then head to Ten Mile Creek – the campground has been closed, but if you hike into the woods your OK at 45 miles

9/8 Triangle Lake Camp at 50 miles

9/9 Eugene at 40 miles

Yachats has a few hotels - Ten Mile creek campground – no water – about half way between 17 and 18 – i.e. 5 miles from 17

Triangle Lake camp -541-927-6189 shared entrance with Boy Scouts - big gravel clearing just west of the lake itself $10 near flag 21 at the 131 mile mark
