This was a good lowland hike for us while we were waiting for the snow to melt out of the upper elevations. It offered brief glimpses of the spectacular Stuart Range, however we never really got up out of the trees to get good mountain pictures.

We managed to cross Ingalls Creek (more of a river at this point) on a logjam and found our way over to the very faint Falls Creek trail. We followed that trail for a quarter of a mile or so to where it crosses Falls Creek, and from there scrambled up the narrow ravine to get the picture of the waterfall (third picture down). The dirty snow and the back lighting washed out the picture. It was much more magnificent in person, especially since we had no idea it was there to begin with. (Those are my favorites. I like to call them 'Unexpected Bonuses'.)

I will have to come back to this area when the snow is gone so I can get above the trees. I love trees, but they can get in the way sometimes.
