Environmentally, we have invested heavily to stay ahead of today's governmental requirements. The repair process generates hazardous wastes and air pollutants. Southtowne uses high volume low pressure spray equipment. Although expensive, and some say unnecessary, Southtowne purchased on-site distilling and enclosed spray gun cleaning equipment to safeguard our endangered environment.

We recycle everything we possibly can. We reduced our garbage dumpster service from 2 yards per week to 1 yard per week, landfilling 50% less than we previously had due to our recycling efforts with masking paper, bumper covers, steel and aluminum.

Southtowne thinks environmentally in every case when purchasing supplies. As an example, we switched from disposable strainers and wooden mixing sticks to reusable strainers and sticks, completely stopping the landfilling of these two items.

We employ an expensive and powerful vacuum dust collection system that collects the fine dust that is generated in the repair process, protecting our employees and our environment from this contaminant.

Southtowne is equipped with the latest equipment to recover, recycle and recharge your air conditioning system with refrigerant, whether it be with R-12 systems or the R-134-A system.
