Mystery Science Theater 3000

The Crawling Eye was the first episode Best Brains made for the Comedy Channel. Before they were on the Comedy Channel they were on an obscure little UHF station in Minneapolis, Minnesota. There may be some people out there who own the old KTMA episodes but if there are they;re keeping quiet about it. Sad, really. Although I realize that those episodes can't possibly compare to the level of quality one would find in even a Season one episode, I would at least like to see them in order to trace the evolution of Joel and the bots.

Rarely does one find a show as worthy of praise as MST 3K. Before you watch it, it's hard to even imagine that there is a show out there that would make you want to record it and watch it over and over again with your friends or by yourself. I can't begin to tell you what exactly it is about MST 3K that is so wonderful, aside from the top notch comedy, the Joel episodes had an innocense and a sense of discovery to them that seemed to effectively bottle the wonderful "paradigm shift" feeling that one DOW scientist/lady speaks about in that one commercial and releases it in a warm comfortable environment where nothing can harm you and you can take it in at your leisure. I don't know if I'm making any sense at this point so I'll shut up.

Pod People is probably my all-time fav.

Remember to support your local Best Brain. Buy them a pizza or something.
