Members Move to New Chapter House The chapter house now holds sixteen members

for the Chapter for their efforts during formal and informal rush. Withonly eight men signed up for formal rush Phi Delta Theta issued four bids and all were accepted. That is 50% (half, for those of you in Rio Linda) of the formal rush class.

  and the alumni and parents in attendance were impressed with the new facilities.

Several alumni volunteered to serve on the Housing Corporation Board of Directors as well as agreeing to help Dick Mayer with Chapter Advisor responsibilities. The successful and the members will follow up to insure the Mothers Club gets started.

Also attending the open house were Dean of Students, Matt Chase, Director of Student life, Jerry Irwin, and Director of Student Clubs and Organizations, Stephanie Ennis.

The success of this even will probably lead to the establishment of an annual open house on homecoming weekend. Some discussion about making this a Founders Day celebration has already taken place. More about this in future newsletters.

With the start of the fall quarter of 1996 members were moved into the new Chapter House at 306 College Avenue. Sixteen members and pledges now reside in the newly remodeled house and dental office sharing six single rooms and five double rooms. Then facility is located across the street from the Beta House and just north of the Sigma Nu House. And, while there is still work to be completed , the facility is comfortable and all members are together in one facility.

The Washington Epsilon Alumni avenged their 1995 loss at the hands of the Actives by defeating them 28 to 7 at the Second Annual Homecoming football game on Saturday, October 19, 1996. Still suffering from the defeat the Actives eagerly await next years event. Following the Eastern Washington-Montana football game the Alumni attended an Open House at the new Chapter House (see next article).

Washington Epsilon Chapter of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity initiated ten Pledges at their meeting on October 6th. This class, the Xi Class, is the largest pledge class in four years and has the potential to be a very strong group of Phikieas. Pledge Master, Matt Minnick, with assistance from Mike Benvenuto and Matt Mayer are working diligently to mold this group of pledges into strong brothers who will provide the future leadership of Washington Epsilon. Congratulation are due

The Washington Epsilon Chapter held its first open house at the new Chapter House on Saturday October 19th following the Eastern Eagles football game with Montana. Invitations to this open house were sent to all alumni as well as members parents. The turnout exceeded expectations
