Where Does Our Money Go???
When you sponsor a child, the money that you send is used to provide services to the child that you sponsor, the other children in his/her family, and other children in his/her community. In reality, you are not simply helping one child, but many.Sponsorship is currently $24 US per month for each child. Using this money, CCF provides the children, their families, and their communities with many services designed to empower them. Services include, but are not limited to, the following areas: education and vocational training, health and nutrition, family income generation, and safe water and sanitation facilities.
The way I see it, sponsorship is a fund-raising tool. It puts a face on our donations... But, it is also so much more. (Please read my "Tips on Being a Great Sponsor" for more info. on my opinions regarding this...)
Between 80 and 85% of sponship money goes to direct services to the sponsored children. From what I understand, according to the financial world this is a very respectable number.
