History of my trip...

My journey to India began over 3 years ago. I decided that I wanted to visit one of my sponsored children. I wanted, not only to get to know him or her better, but to learn more about CCF. I originally planned to go to Uganda to see Alaso, because she is the oldest child that I sponsor. Then as I saved more money, I would travel to see the younger children. But, after talking to many people who know a lot more about international travel than me, I decided that it would be wiser to make my first international trip to India.

So, after getting a second job as the manager of my apartment building, saving lots of money, reading countless books on India and solo travel, and generally driving everyone around me crazy, I finally went to India from February 16 to March 8, 1996.
