Angie's Very Own Christian Children's Fund Web Site

Who am I, and Why am I making this web site?

Photo of Asma & MeMy name is Angie, and I'm a Christian Children's Fund Sponsor. I sponsor 3 CCF kids—Wellington in Brazil, Sheetal in India, and Hermelinda in Guatemala.

I want to share my experiences with and knowledge of CCF with others. Sponsorship has been, for me, a powerful tool in which to make a difference in the world. It has given me a global connection, a global family...

I have visited 16 CCF projects in Mexico, India, Thailand, and the USA. I feel confident that child sponsorship in general, and CCF in particular are extremely effective, and worthy of my devotion.

What is CCF?

Christian Children's Fund (CCF) is a child sponsorship organization that began in 1938. Over 4 million children are now being served in at least 32 countries, including the United States. CCF has gone through many changes over the years that have reflected a growing understanding of how best to achieve its goals. It is now a community development organization in which whole communities benefit from CCF's involvement, not just individual children. I view CCF as a tool of empowerment. It not only empowers the children, their families, and their communities to stand on their own; but also empowers those of us who feel overwhelmed by the problems of the world.

If you're reading this, you're probably like me... You love children. You see the suffering that children in your own country as well as in other parts of the world must endure. But, how can one individual make a difference? Through CCF and other well-run organizations, I can help, and so can you.
