You want broadband without being an IT professional? Go ISOMEDIA.
They're informative, efficient, and effective.

I needed business service. I have dealt with the Telcos and found that it is difficult to get to that "right" person if something isn't working at install. Telcos are notorious for being overly bureaucratic. That system can work when all the kinks are worked out (getting a new phone line can be very easy these days). But broadband offers a new level of detail that seems to be difficult for Telcos to service efficiently.

Enter ISOMEDIA. I call them, they call the Telco (or Covad) and their techs talk to the hardline techs. None of this "let me transfer you" stuff I get when I go direct to the Telco. ISOMEDIA takes the whole of the technology and provides it to me. I don't have to know what Frame Relay means, or Latency, or whether or not I need a certain level of service. They ask the right questions, politely, and come up with the right service for me. Of course, if I ask the more detailed questions, they are quick to respond at the level that I am asking. So those techies out there can hammer them about "store forward" or VPN or whatever it is you want to. I'm sure they can respond at your level. I see this as one of the biggest hurdles for ISPs in this day of broadband: Can the service provider give complete, concise info. at any level in a polite manner? In ISOMEDIA's case: ABSOLUTELY.

Did I say the service installation was handled as they told me, in a reasonable time frame? (It was) Or that I can always get through to a real person in Ordering Service, Technical Help, or Accounting, quickly? (I always can) Oh wait, did I tell you that I don't have to talk to the hardline people (Covad, Telcos)? (I think I did) This is one stop shopping folks. These people become part of your team. Let the others try to compete with ISOMEDIA. Or should I say try to BE like ISOMEDIA. If so, broadband wouldn't have had such a rocky start.

It would be hard to imagine a better service from an ISP or any business, for that matter.

It's hard say too much about ISOMEDIA. My view of ISPs is changed forever! After several years of bad experiences (Verizon DSL, Cable) trying to get high speed Internet to my home (Brentwood Hills, CA), I had nearly given up when I discovered ISOMEDIA. They made the complete experience pleasant and efficient. Cheryl was highly professional and accommodating. And, most importantly, she got the job done without a hitch. My IDSL service was up and running in less than the predicted time and has worked perfectly since day one. It is fast, given the limitations of IDSL, and totally reliable. Price is higher than other forms of DSL, but that is a function of the type of service and not the ISP. I use several home computers (Mac and PC) and a wireless hub. All were up and running within an hour of the original installation! I should also add that the installer from Covad was on time and very professional. I rate this "buying" experience a perfect 10!

ISOMEDIA is a very professional company with rock solid service.

I searched several months for IDSL that wouldn't cost me an arm and a leg. Finally, a review came in to DSL Reports from someone else in Kane County, Illinois. The ISP they reviewed was ISOMEDIA - IDSL for under $85/month. I started reading through all of the ISOMEDIA reviews and thought "this can't be true. How can an ISP be this good?" They are, people! Tom Parker of ISOMEDIA was great to work with. Several emails back and forth on various questions, all answered to my satisfaction. 14 days exactly from order to final install. Ameritech even showed up 2 days early to install the line. 5 days later Covad came out to install the modem. Slight problem with something on AT&T's end - but a couple hours later, my service was up. $69.95/month for 144/144 ordered is currently 133/98, but I expect that to improve with some tweaking. Dynamic IP is not an issue for me currently. I'll try to update this review once I've had the service a while, but for now, everything's great. Thanks ISOMEDIA!

Overall the BEST ISP I've had to deal with !!!

I would just like to say that as far as ISP's go ... ISOMEDIA hits in the TOP 1 that I know of .. From DAY 1 until even after the install ... they have been nothing less than Excellent. From my initial contact with Steve Oylear, who setup my order and kept me informed as to what was going on ... to my 1 on 1 conversation on the phone with Tim Huff about faster service availability, getting service notification updates from Maggie Tice ... and some regular news from Ryan Santwire and Tom Parker, dealing with ISOMEDIA has far surpassed any previous ISP I have ever dealt with ... I can't commend them enough on their tireless support, information, and customer/technical service expertise. All questions were answered directly and quickly. Even when I called .. I don't even think I ever left a message ... Tim Huff (Technical Supervisor) picked up the phone directly.

I'm at a loss for words.Ê NEVER has an installation gone so well as what I received from ISOMEDIA and Covad. From the time I ordered it ... it seemed like an instant when it was installed .. I couldn't be happy enough.

I would just like to take a moment to let you know how very much I appreciate the fantastic service Steve at ISOMEDIA has provided.

Over the past few weeks, I have sent a barrage of questions regarding DSL service. Steve has always responded with prompt and accurate information. I was recommended to ISOMEDIA by a friend, and now see why that friend thought so highly of ISOMEDIA. In my opinion, Steve has consistently gone above and beyond the expected level of customer service. Below are a few examples of why I feel so strongly about Steve's outstanding performance.

During the first few emails, I had numerous questions about the various services provided by ISOMEDIA, pricing, hardware, networking solutions, etc. Steve answered each of my questions point by point. On each of my replies, I added a few new questions, and with each successive response/reply of our on-going conversation, Steve maintained a high level of courtesy and attention to detail. If Steve did not know an answer immediately, he took the time to research an accurate answer. I cannot count the number of times I have asked a tough question of customer service and/or technical support personnel, and received an immediate, but inaccurate response. Steve displayed the confidence and dedication to answer all my questions completely, and not just address the question as something to be quickly processed with a vague and unsatisfactory reply. I think we have all had this sort of "knee-jerk" response in our own experiences with various sales or customer support interactions.

I have had the opportunity to experience numerous ISP's over the past 5+ years. Inevitably, when I would ask a question related to, but just outside the scope of the ISP, I was told that I needed to contact the business directly. For example, I had a number of questions about NAT addressing, Cisco routers, the general handling of static IP's, and Administrative control provided by Qwest. Steve went out of his way to make sure I had answers to ALL of my questions/concerns.

Another example of Steve's responsiveness to solving the customer's problem through the best possible means, was again displayed when I asked for a contact at Qwest to ask even more questions. Steve not only provided me with a contact number, but also the name of a Qwest representative with whom he has maintained an ongoing professional relationship. Wow! I cannot stress enough how valuable this sort of customer first attitude, which so often is lacking today, shined through with Steve. In my experience, this is many times an area where others have wavered with a "no...no...you must speak through us exclusively" attitude, or a quickest route solution of just website or phone #. Customer service is ultimately about solving the customer's problems in the best possible way. I truly felt that Steve had my best interests at heart the entire time.

ISOMEDIA should be commended for hiring Sales Support reps like Steve. Well done!

Please note, that although this mail is filled with praise, I am actually not the type to unduly praise and individual or institution. To illustrate, on multiple occasions, I have turned down coworkers and friends who have asked me for "job hunting" recommendations/references, because I did not feel their performance was deserving of a recommendation. Sure I liked them, but I believe a recommendation is something that should truly be earned through hard work and dedication.

I will most assuredly recommend ISOMEDIA to friends, and if they call/email ISOMEDIA, I would stress to them the importance of contacting Steve.

Excellent tech support. Great value: fixed IP, 5 emails, 25MB personal web space.

I've had ISOMEDIA for over 3 years now as the ISP for my DSL line. Have never had ANY problems with them. Whenever I've needed tech support they have been there and helped me out. Trust me, they are worth the couple of extra bucks and will save you tons of heartache in the future with their "can do" attitude and technically savy operation. The monthly cost is the ISOMEDIA charge only, not including my Telco charge for the DSL line. The amount is an approximation. I'd have to look at my bill to get the exact amount. Bottom line is you will not be sorry you chose this ISP.

I highly recommend ISOMEDIA. I am quite impressed with their excellent service.

I recently joined the growing legions of satisfied ISOMEDIA DSL customers. I really have to say I am quite impressed with the excellent level of service from these guys. They only began offering DSL back in Dec, '01 and hit the ground running. From the day I ordered to the day I was up took 8 days! I experienced a few initial problems getting my account fully functional, however the skilled team at ISOMEDIA made the extra effort to get me set up quickly and easily. My connection is a rock solid 1.5 x 384 hook up using DHCP, and from the day I got it running to this point, I have not seen it slow down or fail. Another great feature I enjoy with this provider is that they do not impose unreasonable restrictions like other sub par ISP's such as Comcast. When I signed up, I asked if I could run my own server and they said "No Prob!"Ê I truly appreciate having the ability to do whatever I like with my ISOMEDIA pipe (within reason!).

I have on only a few occasions had to contact ISOMEDIA regarding my account. Each and every time, I have gotten fantastic service and had any issue or problem fixed immediately. To me, this is more valuable than gold. Coming from a large cable ISP that didn't know the meaning of customer service to these guys was a real shock! I must admit that at first I was a bit jaded when I approached ISOMEDIA for service, but they have taken that extra step to show me they value my business, and provide quality service.

I should probably stop here so people don't think I'm laying it on too thick, but I would honestly tell anybody that asks, that ISOMEDIA is a great Internet SERVICE Provider and I highly recommend them!

2 thumbs up for every aspect of the transaction, even Verizon, heh heh.

All I can say is WOW!!! I have had DSL for going on 4 years now and I have NEVER dealt with a group of people so eager to help and willing to work with you. I had odd requirements in that I work from home, so dependability is a must (as with most people). In addition to that, I need a clean efficient connection for gaming (we all have our vices).

I was with lightrealm.net. And after 2 months of them solving their problems by turning off the router and turning it back on, I had had enough. Not only was their tech support and root cause analysis weak and uninspired, their routing was ridiculous. I have a server that is 7 miles from my house in Bellevue. Before my packets made it to my server, they went down to San Jose, CA before they went to my server. I started to experience terrible latency of over 300ms.

To avoid a repeat of this poor connectivity and down right retarded level of customer service and tech support, I interviewed my potential ISP's to satisfy all the issues that I had been experiencing. Bill was comfortable to talk to and performed a trace route from their connection to my server so I could see how many hops were there and be sure that they routed through the Westin (in Seattle) rather than San Jose. Their routing was efficient and my average ping to my server is now between 40 and 70ms consistently.

Bravo to the crew at ISOMEDIA and here's a gold star to pin on your cube wall Bill, GREAT JOB and thank you!!!

I have had the good fortune of having ISOMEDIA as my ISP for several years, with absolutely the highest degree of quality/access/service of any provider I have had the experience to use!

I am a Web Developer/Designer and ISOMEDIA is not only my DSL/ISP, but provides Web Hosting Service for all of my 'web' clients (15) sites. I have only had 'down' time when "ISO" had to perform upgrades, which has not really ever interrupted my or my clients website access!

I can not recommend their "SERVICE" highly enough, always "UP", excellent "SUPPORT" and "KNOWLEDGEABLE" staff, not to mention VERY friendly.

Been an ISOMEDIA customer for almost 7 years - first 4 years were dialup, and I've had DSL for the past 2.5 years. They've been consistently professional, and setup was always painless.
