ISOMEDIA.COM Powers Issaquah Highlands Fiber Network

Seattle, WA, September 27, 2004 -- ISOMEDIA.COM, based in Redmond, is the new Internet management team responsible for broadband connectivity to the Issaquah Highlands Community Network.
ISOMEDIA.COM has assumed responsibility for installation, billing, customer support, and network management as of July 1, 2004, and as part of ISOMEDIA's initial service upgrades to the Highlands Community Network, residents will automatically gain faster speeds and higher bandwidth associated with each service plan. ISOMEDIA.COM will also deliver additional service enhancements, including advanced spam and virus filtration and enhanced email services similar to those it already delivers to its 20,000 residential and business customers throughout North America. Each customer is also provided with a free web site powered by ISOMEDIA. It's a great place to build a site for a hobby, small business or community organization, and to store and display digitized family photos.

More than 800 customers are already on-line and using the service, with a projected build out to more than 2,000 customers within 5 years. As new homes, condos and apartments are completed, they are being directly connected to the Issaquah Highlands' all fiber network.

"Our commitment to the Highlands Community Network is total," explains Bruce Straughan, CEO of ISOMEDIA. "We have a team of dedicated system administrators, customer service representatives, and our accounting team standing by to help. This is a long term project for our company and we're focused on delivering world-class service to these customers."

The service available to any Highlands home is similar to the kind of network connection that can be found at high-end corporate sites. The Highlands Community Network features true "fiber to the home" connectivity - a network infrastructure that can deliver bandwidth faster than any comparable technology including DSL or cable. The current top speed available to residents is a 4MB/768K circuit, with future speed enhancements being planned. These connection speeds are suitable for running a home-based business or for a serious game, music or entertainment enthusiast.

Local Internet Provider Goes After Spammers

Bellevue, WA, April 18, 2003 -- Local Internet Service Provider, ISOMEDIA, Inc., is joining the quest to stop spam. ISOMEDIA is trying to crack down on spammers, people who send unsolicited Emails.

In addition to developing their own spam filtration system, ISOMEDIA recently hired in-house counsel, Barry C. Maulding, to head up a legal team to go after spammers.

"Like AOL and others, we plan to do our part to help weed out the over 1/3 of all unwanted Email right at the root," says Maulding, "by going after those who are sending this unsolicited Email."

ISOMEDIA has already taken the initiative by developing its own spam filtration system. Many ISOMEDIA subscribers are raving about SpamCatcher, which not only targets unwanted and obnoxious spam Emails, but it allows the user to manage their spam - a solution that eliminates spam while keeping users from losing important messages.

SpamCatcher is a FREE opt-in system for ISOMEDIA's Internet access clients. If you are not currently an ISOMEDIA Internet access client, a small fee applies, or you can sign up with ISOMEDIA and get the service FREE. After activating the system, the user can decide when and how they would like to use it, and best of all - the package includes a virus filtration system called VirusCatcher.

"The configuration is the key," says Bruce Straughan, CEO of ISOMEDIA. "Other spam filters don't give you the option to manage messages you may need, but still not be overwhelmed with those that you don't want."

VirusCatcher, a virus filtering system included with SpamCatcher, is a great addition to this system. With VirusCatcher, the sender and recipient will be alerted to any viruses via Email, and the virus will be eliminated immediately. This helps ensure your inbox is not attacked. This system is a comprehensive solution designed to eliminate the hassles you have with your personal or business Email, and helps to rid your inbox of Email-spread viruses.

For details on how SpamCatcher works, new features within SpamCatcher, or instructions on how to activate these new services, visit: http://www.isomedia.com/internet_business/spamsystem_index.shtml.

"The feedback from our residential customers has been phenomenal," says Ryan Santwire, Director of Sales and Marketing at ISOMEDIA, "but this system will be essential for business class customers."

ISOMEDIA Selected as Emergent Entrepreneur of the Year

Bellevue, WA, February 1, 2003 -- ISOMEDIA, Inc. received a Business Excellence Award from the Greater Redmond Chamber of Commerce today.

ISOMEDIA, the newly crowned Emergent Entrepreneur of the Year, fits the description. As a risk-taker, in business for over ten years, ISOMEDIA has successfully adapted its business through all phases, and proven success through customer satisfaction.

ISOMEDIA co-founder and CEO Bruce Straughan is very pleased to be making this announcement. "With the unfavorable economic climate, we've stayed focused," he said. "ISOMEDIA has spent nearly ten years creating a profitable and successful business model for providing Internet service to communities throughout Washington, as well as nationwide," he added. ISOMEDIA Continues to Grow - Expanding Services and Bandwidth

Redmond, WA, October 15, 2002 -- ISOMEDIA continues to grow - expanding their co-location space and upgrading their fail-over system to provide additional backup services and protection for their clients. These developments keep ISOMEDIA on the cutting edge and differentiate them from other Internet Service Providers.

As ISOMEDIA continues to grow, they've been adding more backup services to protect customers from downtime. They recently installed a 140 Kilowatt, top-of-the-line generator to protect from power outages and to provide additional backup service in the worst of conditions.

With the continuous need for additional bandwidth and the budgetary constraints of many companies, ISOMEDIA has received several requests from customers asking about managed Internet applications in their facilities. With that in mind, ISOMEDIA has expanded their facilities to meet the need.

"We listen to our customers," says Bruce Straughan, President of ISOMEDIA, "and look out for ways to make their experience dependable and hassle-free."
More and more businesses have been outsourcing their servers to companies that specialize in co-locating equipment. Whether a company has trouble affording a full-time employee for IT needs; if they would like to cut the cost of their IT department; or the company just doesn't have the resources to support their needs; then server co-location, managed or dedicated, might be an excellent option. ISOMEDIA has redundant high-speed connections that provide the feel of a large operation, while lending highly-trained and certified experts to help run applications.

ISOMEDIA, Inc. Helps criminal Intelligence Units catch Crooks Faster

By Sperry Weiner of Westbrook Technologies

August 22, 2002 -- ISOMEDIA, Inc., Redmond, Wash., is one Westbrook Technologies Partner that's capturing the law enforcement vertical market in their state with the help of some smart software tools, including File Magic document management software from Westbrook Technologies.

For police departments and criminal intelligence units across the state, ISOMEDIA, Inc. is positioning their software systems not as a purchase to be made when the budget allows, but as a necessary investment for criminal intelligence units that are trying to piece together millions of bits of disparate information.

More than 12 police departments throughout Washington, including the Washington State Patrol, are using File Magic, along with two specially designed systems for police to gather information on suspects quickly, efficiently - and legally.
File Magic is the main component of the efficient intelligence-gathering systems that ISOMEDIA, Inc. packages and promotes. Police records, arrest reports, and other criminal intelligence documents are scanned, e-mailed or otherwise imported in to a File Magic system. They are indexed by Full Text, which means that all words are filed away and searchable in a File Magic database. Rather than hand pick through files, administrators can now type in a key word or phrase and retrieve all records with that search.

ISOMEDIA, Inc. Engineer Matthew Bailey developed an application called Subject Tracker, where suspects are entered into the File Magic system and monitored by names and aliases. This system allows them to adhere to civil rights regulations that require suspects be deleted from police tracking system after a certain time period.

Bailey also designed Access Monitor, which tracks any person who accesses any record at any time. With File Magic, Access Monitor and Subject Tracker in place, police departments in Washington are smarter and more efficient, meaning they are catching more criminals.

The Washington State Patrol is using File Magic to store their records and reports. Secretary Michelle Hahn said they purchased File Magic based on the recommendation of another agency in Washington that was using File Magic. Dan King of King County's Criminal Intelligence Unit gathers all pertinent information regarding crimes, such as police reports, interviews, photographs, etc., in File Magic. Previously, the problem for detectives was relating information on one report to information on another report. Now, with each report or interview that is OCR'd into File Magic, they can search for names, license plates, phone numbers, etc., locate similar information on several different documents and begin to relate the criminal activity. King said, "File Magic has already made three felony arrests from the administrator's point of view, it's perfect."

ISOMEDIA Acquires Pioneer Internet Access

An acquisition of DSL, dial-up, and other internet service accounts of Pioneer Internet Access

Seattle, WA, January 2, 2001 - ISOMEDIA Incorporated (www.isomedia.com) announced today that it has completed an acquisition of the DSL, dial-up, and other internet service accounts of Pioneer Internet Access.

The deal is an asset purchase, not an acquisition. The management and staff of Pioneer Internet Access will be joining ISOMEDIA. The pioneernet.net domain name will remain active under ISOMEDIA management, as will all Pioneer Internet Access email accounts and all web sites currently being served by Pioneer Internet.

Pioneer Internet Access is a four-year-old company, and is headquartered at 390 NE Midway Blvd, #1, Oak Harbor, WA.

The negotiations between the two privately held firms remain confidential, and additional terms of the deal were not disclosed.

ISOMEDIA co-founder and CEO Bruce Straughan was very pleased to be making the announcement. "With the addition of these new customers, ISOMEDIA has demonstrated its commitment to continue to expand its service area in the northwest," he said. "ISOMEDIA has spent nearly five years creating a profitable and successful business model for providing Internet service to communities throughout Western Washington," he added. "We anticipate continuing to grow the company's operations in this area. ISOMEDIA intends to be a leader in this market and we believe that we have the team and the vision to accomplish those objectives."

Steve Milton, co-founder of ISOMEDIA and Chief Technical Officer (CTO) of the company has been responsible for developing the necessary infrastructure and network architecture to support this expansion of service. "Basically," he says, "the key is understanding how all the pieces of the puzzle fit together, from the Telco side, to the equipment, to the software, to customer support, to the changing needs of the customers. We've reached a point where we can scale our systems rapidly and remain profitable."

Milton oversees a team of customer service representatives who assist end-users, a group of system administrators who manage the network hardware and software, and an in-house cadre of programmers who support the company's software development and maintenance.

By leveraging a wide array of hardware and software, including high-end Cisco routers and servers running the free software operating system Linux, the company has been able to make reasonably limited investments of cash while constantly expanding the capacity of its network. Many of the company's systems run custom-written software, or customized versions of commercial applications. It has also been able to accurately forecast developing trends in digital subscriber line (DSL) services, and has proactively negotiated very competitive rates for high-bandwidth connections and upstream Internet connections.

ISOMEDIA's Internet operation, ISOMEDIA.COM, was started in 1995 as an outgrowth of the company's data processing division. Over the past five years, the company has implemented several major network enhancements, including adding the capacity to handle DSL subscriptions. ISOMEDIA.COM provides co-hosting services, web design capabilities, and consulting for individuals and businesses interested in connecting to the Internet.

A carefully managed growth plan has allowed the company to develop a robust Internet services business funded primarily from retained earnings. As a result, ISOMEDIA is ideally positioned to expand during a time when many competitors have burned through their available cash and the widespread correction in Internet stocks has made raising additional funds much more challenging than just a year ago.
